On a whim, I bought Guild Wars tonight (mostly because if I want to return it I can since I won't open it until after my research) and let me tell you.. after doing some reading on the main website and here, I'm getting really excited!

This sounds like it's going to be a kickass game for people of my playing style. Those who don't want to obsess and spend every moment of every day playing, but are still able to be able to create a fully useable (competitive as it's being termed) character without major flaws. Also, since there won't be a monthly fee, I can go a period of time without playing and not feel like my money is being wasted.

I'm really looking forward to this!

Now, to find a guild to help me learn the game. Mwuahahaha.

Yeah, I have that warm fuzzy feeling as well. Of course it might be the beer too.

The only problem is whether I make it to 3:00 EDT before I pass out.

So it's 11:30pm CST and I go to install the game, eager to get started playing.. only to find out what I read as 12:01 EST was actually 12:01 PST.

I'm surprised at how excited I am to get in and check out this game.

I can't wait to get in with all you guys and play...sucks that i'll probably only get an hour of play because i got a date in the morning and then on friday another....i'm going to go bananas on saturday and sunday but so will everyone else lol

Hmmmm... just wondering. How bad is the lag going to be at 3:00AM EDT? I know it's late but I'm guessing there'll be plenty of people signing on. Anyone here from an earlier time zone?
